Challenge

A new provider at a thriving Phoenix practice was selling an average of one hearing aid per patient, a cost below the practice’s average selling price (ASP). The Owner sought to increase sales and convert more patients with diagnosed hearing loss into treated patients.

Solution

In comparing the provider’s first ten months to her post-training period, gains were seen in significant areas such as effectiveness ratio, which is the average number of hearing aids sold per patient.

Key improvements included:

  • An increase in overall effectiveness ratio from 1.01 to 1.45
  • A boost in effectiveness ratio among new patients from 0.93 to 1.35
  • A rise in effectiveness ratio from 0.79 to 1.62 among patients with companions
  • A 10% increase in average sales price (ASP)
